SUNSHINE CLUB MEETS THE FIRST MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 11:00 am in the Family Ministries Building.

Sunshine Club met November 9th at the church with 20 persons atending. Carolyn Taylor brought a very inspirationsl talk on Thanksgiving and what i means to her. She then asked each one present to tell on e thing that theywere thankful for and each one gace their thoughts on this. A delicious lunch was served by the Food Committee for November. Officers were elected and they remain the same with the exception of the Food Committee Chair which will be Recebba Lutz for 2010, replacing Margaret Ann Taylor wo was the Chair for 2009.

Our officers are: PRESIDENT - Janice K. Craps, VP - Marie Gunter - SEC TREAS - Carolyn Taylor - CORRESPONDENCE CHAIR - Elvena Bickley and YEARBOOK PERSON - Mary Ellen Ricard. We voted to send a care package for Christmas to Brandon & Chad Harmon’s Units and a Committee was selected to do this. We will continue to furnish flowers for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in the 11:00 AM worship services. Our Christmas meerint will be a big drive for LICS with no exchange of gifts for ourselves. Finger foods will be enjoyed and fun and fellowship will be on the adgenda. We are growing and want to invite more of our retirees to join us as we are planning soem interesting programs for 2010. We support the Gilbert Senior Center Food program. The Sunshine and Men’s Clubs bought Bibles for the rising Third graders this year and as teachers, Judy Johnson & I thank you very much for that donation. The children bring their Bibles every Sunday and we are blessed to have 12 on the roll with 6-10 attending each Sunday. We are learning hoe to beter use our Bibles by looking up the Scriptures associated with the lessons.
