Adopt a Sick or Injured Child

A new outreach project for this time of the year is our Hearts & Hands "Adopt A Child" where you can donate money to help keep this project in materials needed to fulfill the needs that the children's hospitals need for children facing surgeries and chem treatments.  Below is a list of the items we produce and the cost for us to make them.  We have about 15 ladies working constantly to keep this mission vital and strong.  Please help us continue to do that with your prayers and donations.

We have premie babies no bigger than the palm of your hand up to young children facing surgery and treatments for cancer and other illneses.  We use fun cotton fabric wth cartoon characters and funny designs that the children pick out themselves to wear.    Your support will make this happen for a child.

Put yourself in the position of a parent with a brand new baby that is so tiny they cannot even hold it yet.  Those tiny, tiny blankets for baby yarn are the one item that the baby feels.

Or a small child having surgery for something he has no control over.  We bring the surgical caps for them to chose.  

This is the one decision about their illneses that they can make themselves.  They also get to chose a matching hat for their doll or bear that they get to keep with they during these times.  It is a comfort item for them.

Special Memorial for the Grief Cart at Palmetto Health Baptist for babies that don’t survive.

(Blanket and cap appropriate size for God’s newest Angel.)

 A $20.00 donation could help 20 kids going to surgery,  4 preemie babies with blankets and caps or a quilt for a teen going thru chemo.  Just think what $50.00 or more could do? 

Each item is made with love and even if those families never know who made them, they do know that someone cared enough to take the time to do it for them.  We dedicate these items before they go to the hsopitals so they carry God's love and blessings with them.
